SALUD INTEGRAL EN LA MONTAÑA, INC. (SIM)

Is a Non-Profit Organization incorporated in 1974 and recognized by the Federal Government as a “Federally Qualified Health Center”, and "FTCA Deemed" facility, whose goal is to offer primary and preventive health services throughout its Community Health Centers in the municipalities of Barranquitas, Comerío, Corozal, Naranjito, Orocovis and Toa Alta. SIM runs a Home Care Program and a Hospice Program, and is a Lares VIH/AIDS Consortium Member since 1997. All of the Community Health Centers offer their services regardless of client’s payment capacity.

Salud Integral en la Montaña is a private network of health centers that provides primary and preventive health services in a sensible and specialized way, achieving the wellbeing of the residents of Barranquitas, Comerío, Corozal, Naranjito, Orocovis and Toa Alta.

VISION

Towards 2016, Salud Integral en la Montaña, Inc. will be recognized by the community as their first health services alternative, due to its technologic innovation, high quality standards, professional diversity, external alliances and cost-effectiveness.

HISTORY

Incorporated in 1974 as “Corporación de Servicios Comprensivos de Salud del Área de Barranquitas, Comerío, Corozal, Naranjito y Orocovis, Inc.”, to offer preventive and primary health services to the residents of said municipalities, with a grant under section 330 Public Health Law, and under state and county funding.
